THE LOSS OF A MUSIC ICON

The music world has lost another great one.  The incomparable Whitney Houston passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2012.  I am stunned and at a loss for words.

My heart is deeply saddened by yet another musical legend taken away from us way before her time.  Whitney was without equal and it is my hope that we focus on the amazing, astonishing and inspirational talent that Whitney left us all with.  RIP Ms. Houston.  Cheers!!

  1. It was a sad day, but for me, She will live on in her music.

I feel bad for her daughter. She has a shit for a dad and now her mom is gone.

  2. I am totally disgusted with this entire situation. IMHO, her life went down hill when she married Bobby Brown. However, Bobbi Kris -their daughter - is a blessing out of that union. I guess my true question, and probably everyone else's, is how many more times are we going to lose people to a regretful life-style? Byrd, Holiday, Joplin, Hendrix, Phoenix, Belushi, Jackson, Winehouse, Houston and a host of others that I can't remember or didn't even know have died from the impact of addiction. It's truly tragic. By trade I am a drug counselor but currently I work in education with children. Perhaps my focus should be on prevention, education and counseling our children and young adults about the destruction of addiction. My focus has mainly been with the adult population - rarely children directly. I think that will change. Cheers Terry!!

  3. she had a voice that gave me chills and I think she was a good, kind person

I wish all the assumptions would stop, the press loves to say how they adored her and then trash her

    I feel for her daughter
