Don't let it snow, don't let it snow, don't let it snow!!

My sister, bless her heart, loved winter.  It was her favorite time of year.  She loved dressing up in knitted or crocheted scarves, hat, mittens, coats, boots.  I mean she really loved snow and all that Ol' Man Winter brings.  I have tried to keep her love of winter alive.  But ENOUGH already!!

This winter has gone on record as the 8th highest accumulation of snow on record in NY- and still counting.  It just snowed today.  I really enjoy winter, but at this point I think I am more than ready for spring.  Now, that does not mean I ready for summer - I'll be crying about that soon - can't stand the heat either.

P. S. My blogfriends from Canada or even from the Upper NY regions like Buffalo or Syracuse or Michigan, Alaska, Austria, Germany and Russia probably think I am a wuss crying about all this little bit of snow.  Hahahaha.  Your right!  Cheers!!

  1. I certainly don't think you're a wuss! I've spent my whole life in Canada and I still moan and groan about it. It's just too darn long. No matter how pretty winter can look, spring, summer, and even fall, are much MUCH nicer seasons. This winter has been especially rough, so we can all moan and groan equally...haha...

    1. You are to funny. Any time a Canadian complains about snow and winter - we have really had enough. I would love to live in Canada. Preferably Toronto or Montreal. Cheers!!

  2. I think a lot of people agree that winter has overstayed its welcome this year. Enough is enough! I really feel for the folks who've been getting so darned much snow. We even had a couple inches of snow and ice in Georgia this year... twice! Today, it's sunny and nearly seventy degrees, so we have our windows open. Not sure how long it'll last, but we're gonna enjoy it while it's here. And then, of course, it won't be long before we're bellyaching about how hot it is.

    1. Funny, but I remember being a kid, even a young adult, when the summer didn't bother me. Now that I'm going through my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc - change, the heat just kills me. Cheers!!

  3. Hubby and I live in a snowbelt so it's interesting to hear so many talking of snow, likes it's a thing. Honestly, the snow doesn't bother me. It's refreshing and pretty. Cold though, but pretty to me as well.

    1. Happy, I love it when it first snows. It's all pristine. As time goes by, however, it gets awfully disgusting. That's when I wish it would disappear. Cheers!!

    2. Well, it just keeps coming so that should give you a fresh new blanket each time. Eh, it's winter. So many complain, we just embrace it here. Doesn't last all that long and it's nice to have a change of season.

Hope you find a way to enjoy some of it before it's gone.

  4. I'm up in Canada and I'm sick of the snow too! The weather network said this is the coldest winter in 20 years... I am over it! haha! But I also read today that it is only 30 days until spring. That is so close! There is often still snow here in the first of spring, but it will start to get warmer and I'm looking forward to that. Only 30 more days! We can do it! :)

    1. I remember as a kid when snow would last sometimes until Easter. That was a long time ago - lol! I can't believe that spring is that close by. Just goes to show you that time is flying by. Cheers!!
