Extra, Extra, Read All About It!!!

Susan Flett Swiderski, owns a fabulously brilliant blog entitled, "I Think; Therefore, I Yam.  This delightful woman has also written a book named Hot Flashes & Cold Lemonade.  As a woman who is going through the second "change" herself and who loves lemonade, I simple adore the title.  Just looking at the glass cools me off.

Available on Amazon from February 28 through March 6 you can purchase the e-version of this book (a steal) for only - wait for it, hold on to your hats - ninety-nine (.99) cents.  That right!  Even cheaper that a hot cup of coffee from DD.  In addition, she is giving away the e-book for FREE with the purchase of her paperback version. How cool is that!  You can give one to a sisterfriend, your mom, an aunt, cousin, or co-worker.  So, check out Susan's book and blog.  You'll be glad you did.  Have a great weekend!  Cheers!!

    1. I hear so many different versions about how long the "change" lasts. Anywheres from 0 - I know a set of twins who say they never experienced any symptoms - to 17 long dreadful years. All has my head spinning. Have a great weekend. Cheers!!

    2. When I had candida bad, I had hot flashes BAD! I think eating healthy stopped a lot of the hot flashes. Not sure about that, but it seems it to me.

    1. One day I walked into my sister's home and there she was butt naked with the ac on, fanning herself to death. Mind you this was in the dead middle of winter. After my initial shock, I thought was holy s*$!, this is what I got to look forward to. Cheers!!

  4. Yup, Susan sure has a great blog! I'll have to check out her book. I'm in the perimenopause stage with subtle annoying symptoms popping up now and then. I expect it will get worse over time (but hope it doesn't). From my understanding, this stage's average length is about four years, but it can last anywhere from a few months to 10 years! I can't imagine 10 years of that!

    1. I told my OB/GYN what a friend of mine to me - that she has been going through menopause for 17 years, and he said NO WAY! Women do not experience the change for that long. He said whatever she was going through, it was not menopause. I don't know who to believe anymore. This I do know - every woman is different. Cheers!!

  5. I've talked to some women who never really go through it. My step-mother. She just stopped menstruating and that was it. Lucky her! I have been sweating and not sleeping well now for 7 or 8 years.... I lost track of how long it's been,

    1. Lucky her is right. Many books have been written on the topic of menopause. Dr. Christine Northrop has written extensively on the subject. All women experience a myriad of symptoms. I've heard some women wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, bed soaking wet, having to change night clothes. My symptoms are not that bad and I hope they never will. So, I guess, I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for. Cheers!!

  7. I love Susan, her blog, and her book. It's an excellent read. I highly recommend it to all, not just us menopausal women.

So glad you two have connected, Bobby.
