  2. That was so FUNNY!!!!! Thanks for the grins this morning! It always gets my dad off to a great start when my friends make me laugh.

And yes, my curiosity is piqued about the ring! I hope you got something good for it, like a hot tub.

    XOXO

  3. You have a good memory. I couldn't answer half that stuff. As for 15, I don't even understand the question.

  4. What? You Don't kiss and tell?

My first kiss was awful. I think I was 14 or 15. The guy was drunk, and smelled of beer. Not a pleasant experience.

As for the football question...ummmm....no idea. It's not soccer after all.

  6. Now, how did I know some of you were going to ask about THAT ring? Seriously, come on guys, if I tell ya, I got to kill ya!!! Gladly, he never requested that I give it back to him. See, that's the kinda guy Sam is. Sam is the PERFECT gentleman - but, just not for me. He is the BEST friend a person can have. Most men would ask for the ring back, but not him. He is one in a million. I here all ya'll asking, "Well if he was all that fantastic, why did you break up"? Hmmmm? Excellent question - my dear blogfellows.

We truly are best friends. It's uncanny how we enjoy the same interests such as, music, food, films, games, travel. And we have a blast laughing like kids. However, he had been after me for years, since 1995 to be exact, to try Buddhism. Finally, he convinced me to convert to Buddhism. They have this ritual in which you chant in front of an altar/shrine to a scroll that has different images on it; you have to do this twice daily. Once in the morning and once during the evening. Ultimately, I recieved my Gohonzan in 2005 and started chanting; however, the only thing I can commit myself to or be disciplined enough to do EVERYDAY is sleeping, eating and going to the bathroom, and a couple of other activities, which I choose not to reveal online.

So, therein was the problem, and because he was so adamant about me practicing HIS religion, he could not accept the fact that I stopped chanting and chose, instead, to follow MY OWN path in life. Don't get me wrong, I find many of the tenets of Buddhism insightful, enlightening, as I do other religions, but I don't want to chant everyday - twice a day. Some practioners even chant up to four, five, six hours a day. Phew!!

    P. S. I buried the ring in a time capsule and can't remember what spot.

  9. You buried a $20,000 ring and can't remember the spot??? You need to do some serious chanting on where to find it! LMAO! Do you realize how many cups of coffee that would buy? Damn...

  10. I buried it in 2001, when we broke up. I know where/place, but not exactly sure of the spot. Too many DAMN trees; can't remember which - they all look alike. Can't go digging up 5, 10 or 20 trees. Believe you me, I'v been kicking myself ever since!!! Coffee? Hahahaha. You funny. Cheers Nantz!!
