What an extraordinary woman she was. Such a loss to the world.
ReplyDeleteShe was an inspiration to us all. May she rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteShe was definitely one of a kind, and her talent made the world a better place.
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad when someone with so much talent leaves us. RIP
ReplyDeleteShe was amazing.

She was an amazing lady. I hope you are fully recouperated from your bout with the flu:)
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful portrait. It feels like the world isn't the same without Maya. Of course, her words and spirit live on, but there was a comfort knowing she was alive.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant woman indeed. Have a lovely Thursday.
ReplyDeleteGreat tribute. I love that picture. Her legacy will live on through her words and the lives she touched.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting and a wonderful tribute. Your comment on my blog made my giggle. Please check out why here. http://beadwright.blogspot.com/2014/06/nicole-aka-annie-oakley.html
ReplyDeleteAfter you comment I had to tell this story about myself.
Have a great evening

DeleteShe left a legacy. So glad we have her work to continue to inspire us.
ReplyDeleteAn inspiration now and always. We saw her here in Edmonton a couple of years ago when she was doing a lecture tour. She was in a wheelchair then and only strong enough to speak for about an hour. But she spoke beautifully and without notes! It was so wonderful to listen to her stories.
