A SIMPLE ENJOYMENT

I love to eat snow.  Freshly fallen, clean, untouch, unspoilt snow.  Does anyone else have this fascination, fetish, passion?  Oh, in case you think I need pschotherapy -- I REALIZE THAT ALREADY -- hahahaha.  Cheers!!

ADDICTED TO VINCENT

Your lights are on, but you're not home
Your mind is not your own
Your heart sweats, your body shakes
Another kiss is all it takes
You can't sleep, no, you can't eat
There's not doubt your in deep
Your throat is tight, you can't breathe
Another kiss is all you need

Whoa, you'd like to think that your immune to his stuff, oh yeah
It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough
You know you're gonna have to face it you're addicted to Vincent

You see the signs, but you can't read
You're running at a different speed
Your heart beats in double time
Another kiss and you'll be mine
A one track mind, you can't be saved , oblivion is all you crave
If there's some left for you
You don't mind if you do

Whoa, you'd like to think that you're immune to his stuff, oh yeah
It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough
You know you're gonna have to face it you're addicted to Vincent

Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent

Your lights are on, but you're not home
Your mind is not your own
Your heart sweats, your body shakes
Another kiss is all it takes
You can't sleep, no, you can't eat
There's no doubt you're in deep
Your throat is tight, you can't breathe
Another kiss is all you need

Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent
Might as well face it you're addicted to Vincent

The Queen's Meme #26 ~ Name That Tune

Welcome to the Queen's Tuesday Meme #26

Sometimes silly. Sometimes serious. Always fun!

Step out of the box. Be creative. Use your imagination.

No one's answers are quite like yours.

I was tagged by the musically prolific Starr who writes Here Comes A Storm in The Form of A Girl for a meme that was circulating on Facebook over the weekend. It calls for 25 answers (!) but not to worry, I have shortened it for our purposes here.

It's a simple NAME THAT TUNE meme with a Mimi twist.

The Rules : Once you have been tagged (or commanded by the Queen) you are supposed to write down the top 25 SEVEN songs you cannot live without. The ones you can listen to over and over and never get tired of. They don't have to be in any particular order. These are the songs that make you laugh, cry, think of an old friend, whatever the reason. I know it's impossible for many of us to narrow it down to seven. There are just too many songs. Instead, make a list of seven songs that move you personally and tell us why. What memory does the song evoke? What emotion? Where were you when you first heard it? We'd like to know what's in your musical memory bank. Name seven songs and tell us about your emotional connection to the song.

Fair enough?

Let's get started!

1.  The theme from the "Valley of the Dolls," by Dionne Warwick -- The song eloquently captures what's inside my soul/spirit.   I saw the movie when I was 13 or 14 years old.  The scenes in the movie that really compel me is when she (Barbara somebody) is riding on the train; it's snowing,  and she is pondering her life.  I guess that's why I like wintertime so much.

2.  "Hello" by Lionel Richie -- This song reminds me of one of my favorite childhood friends, Janice.  When we would visit each other homes -- anytime we were together, really -- we would sing.  I am soprano, she's alto.  We would always harmonize!!  She would encourage me to hit high notes.  I would hit them too, after her encouragement.  Wow, I miss her.  She moved Upstate NY.  Haven't seen her in years.  We both enjoyed music so much, especially Lionel Richie.

3.  "I Hope That We Can Be Together Soon" by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes -- Wow, Teddy Pendergrass' voice smooth, very smooth.  My sister, who, at the time, became a born again Christian, thought this song was a Christian song.  I always wondered why.  So, I asked her and she said that it represented the second coming of the Christ.

4.  "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" by Johnny Mathis and Denise Williams -- I just adore this song/duet.  My sister, Sondra, had this HUGE crush on Mr. Mathis.  Oh, how she would carry on about him.  She had all his albums.  I think he's sexy and cute.  With a voice as sweet as a violin.

5.  "Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac -- Reminds me of my sister Carolyn and her friend Nora.  Actually, it was Nora who introduced me to Mac with the release of their 1977 "Rumours" album.  I remember Nora came to pick up my sister one afternoon just to hang out.  I was invited to go along.  Nora was driving one of those bus looking Volkswagons, and playing on the radio was Go Your Own Way.  Loved Fleetwood ever since.

6.  "Didn't I Blow Your Mind" by The Delfonics -- Do I need to say more?  I didn't think so.

7.  "I Gotta Be Me" by Sammy Davis Jr. -- This song is my motto.  It gives me courage, strength, and hope.  I miss Sammy; his music, his smooth voice, his laughter.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

A couple is lying in bed.  The man says, "I am going to make you the happiest woman in the world," the woman says, "I'll miss you."

What's the difference between the tires Good Year and 365 used condoms?  365 used condoms are VERY good year!!

What does Bill Gates' wife say to him when they make love?  "Oh, Bill, you are so MICRO, you are so SOFT."

There are FOUR kinds of SEX:
House Sex -- where you are newly married and have sex all over the house in every room.
Bedroom Sex -- after you've been married for awhile, you only have sex in the bedroom.
Hall Sex -- after you've been married for many, many, many years you just pass each other in the hall and say, "FUCK YOU."
Courtroom Sex -- when your wife and her lawyer fuck you in the divorce court in front of many people for every penny you've got.

WISHES

Although I love cloudy, rainy days, today I'm feeling especially melancholy.  As I sit here gazing out my livingroom window I am remembering the anniversary of my sister's death.  Tomorrow, February 24, marks a year since her passing.  I really haven't quite accepted her death.  Sometimes, I believe that it's all a bad dream, and that I'll wake up, pick up the phone, call her and talk with her again.  Logically, I understand this can't happen, but my heart is in complete denial.  How could God take a sweet, generous, funny, intelligent, woman like that away from me.  Not only have I lost my best friend/sister, but her only child, Courtney, my nephew, preceeded her in death.  Both died in the month of February.  It's all too surreal to me.

I know my good is on its way -- a life of inner peace, total self-acceptance, and unconditional love.  My brain realizes that Life is a process -- sometimes long and arduous -- and I can't rush it.  But, as I look out the window and try to see past the clouds and the gloom onto brighter horizons, today I am wishing I was...

...in a field/meadow of lavendar
...already a yoga master
...had my own business (tea shop)
...in love with someone other than Vincent -- although he is the ULTIMATE (Vixens know what I mean)
...sailing my own sailboat in the Mediterranean or South Seas
...could fly
...my dream home

What is your, "today I wish I was wish"...?

NINE RULES FOR LIFE

1)  LISTEN!!  Listening is a skill that most people never learn.  It is an art.  When a person doesn't listen they miss out on important information.  God made people with one mouth and two ears for a reason.  We can all sing together, but we can't all talk together.  So, take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2)  RESPECT EVERYONE EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE OR DON'T LIKE THEM!!  Courtesy, manners, where have they gone?  It doesn't cost one wooden nickel to be nice, respectful, and courteous to people.  Be nice and respectful to people when you are climbing up the ladder of life.  You never know if you are going to meet them on the way down.

3)  BE OPEN-MINDED!!  Open-mindedness allows for the flow of new discoveries and information.  When your mind is closed there is no room for growth.  You become stagnant.  Learn to think and act outside the Box.  Be open to new ideas and ways of living!!

4)  NEVER GIVE UP!!

5)  SPEAK WELL OF OTHERS!!  If you have nothing positive to say about someone -- keep your mouth shut!!

6)  BE YOUR OWN HERO!!  Rely upon your inner wisdom to guide you.  Trust yourself.  Inspire yourself by believing you have the power to accomplish everything you set out to do.  Have faith in your ability to create the life you want for yourself.

7)  HELP SOMEONE ELSE!!  When you do, the positive forces in the universe will conspire to bring your good to you.

8)  PUT YOUR BUTT ON THE LINE!!  If there is something you want to have, be there is only one way to know for sure if you will get it.  Put your butt on the line!!  It's up to you to go after it.  If you are content, but still feel hungry for something, go for it!  Put your butt on the line!

9)  BREATH, PRAY/CHANT, SURRENDER!!

Not necessarily in that order.

What are your nine rules for life?

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND

Ahhh, I feel like this flower looks.  Beaufiful!  Pink is for self-love.  This weekend is school time for me.  All day Saturday and Sunday.  Phew!  By the time 2:00p.m. rolls around though, I'm usually very sleepy, let me rephrase that -- dog tired.  That's because I sometimes don't get to bed until around 1:00a.m.  Then I awake at 6am.  I make my coffee before I take my shower.  This gives me enough time to just lolly around before I have to get dressed, and out the house to catch the bus -- if I don't hire car service.  That's just a smart way of saying taking a taxi.  So, why didn't I just say take a taxi?  I don't know.  But, classes are very interesting and I have wonderful professors.  I'm taking weekend advance courses in substance abuse treatment.  Yes ladies and gentlemen that's what I do for a living.  I counsel people who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs.  I'm not complaining.  Actually, it's a very interesting field.  I get to meet all sorts of people from various backgrounds.  Young, old, all ethnicities, religions, rich, and poor.  I really enjoy what I do.  I feel I am making a significant difference in the world.  As Ghandi put it so well, "You have to be the change you seek."  I truly believe that.  We -- I mean, I -- can not change anyone.  People have to want to change.  I can only change my behaviors, beliefs, etc.  Then, hopefully, if they are positive changes, someone might what to challenge themselves and make a change.  Anydiddles, I just want to wish everyone I blog with a happy, inspiring and peaceful weekend.

P. S. Yes, JoJo I went and changed my blog again.
